BARCELONA, Spanien, 1 März 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Huawei, ein weltweit führender Lösungsanbieter für die Bereiche Informationstechnologie und Telekommunikation (ICT), stellte mit dem Distributed Cloud Data Center (DC2, „DC squared") heute seine Rechenzentrumsarchitektur der nächsten Generation offiziell vor, die auf die besonderen Anforderungen von Rechenzentren im Cloud-Zeitalter ausgelegt ist. Im Zuge der Weiterentwicklung von Unternehmen und Betreibern sind frühere Rechenzentrumsarchitekturen, die verteilt und unabhängig voneinander betrieben werden, nicht mehr dazu in der Lage, mit veränderten Dienstanwendungen zurechtzukommen. Huawei hat sich sein umfassendes Verständnis der Kundenseite zunutze gemacht und die innovative DC2-Architektur eingeführt, mit deren Hilfe mehrere verschiedene, verteilte und heterogene Rechenzentren in einem neuen, dezentralen Cloud-Rechenzentrum zusammengefasst werden können. Kunden erhalten somit die Möglichkeit, Ressourcen besser zu nutzen, die Verwaltung effizienter zu gestalten und ihre Investitionen wirksam zu schützen.

Überdies entspricht sie dem erhöhten Kundenbedarf im Hinblick auf Flexibilität und eine verbesserte Verwaltung."

DC2 besteht aus zwei wesentlichen Technologien. Auf Basis von OpenStack wird mit Huawei FusionSphere sichergestellt, dass die Architektur offen ist. Es unterstützt zudem Plug-and-Play-fähige IT-Geräte mit heterogenen Schnittstellen und mehrere virtuelle Produkte. Huawei ManageOne ermöglicht die einheitliche Verwaltung von unterschiedlichen und verteilten Rechenzentren – sogar in Zweigstellen.
Seit über einem Jahrzehnt ist Huawei ein aktiver Wegbereiter im Bereich Rechenzentren. Zum Stichtag im 4. Quartal 2012 hat Huawei Kunden aus aller Welt beim Bau von über 260 Rechenzentren unterstützt.
