Blue Chip Tek Adds Cloud Solution Architect Kord Campbell to Lead Elastic Data Center Practice

Blue Chip Tek, a high tech integrator for Silicon Valley’s top companies, has announced the addition of veteran data center expert Kord Campbell to expand the company’s growing Elastic Data Center Initiative. Campbell will join Blue Chip Tek in the role of Cloud Evangelist, bringing with him more than 15 years of experience developing, implementing and expanding IT and business solutions for a wide range of high tech companies.

“Our customers include some of the Valley’s hottest startups and as they grow, they need flexible data migration and deployment strategies that can grow with them,” said Blue Chip founder and CEO Jessica R. Geis. “Customers are looking for elasticity and flexibility which will allow their business to grow on demand. Cloud service orchestration throughout the IT stack is what we’re committed to deliver. Kord’s knowledge and experience, coupled with our datacenter practice, enables us to deliver valuable new tools to meet the evolving needs of our customers.”

Campbell joined Blue Chip Tek’s Elastic Datacenter Initiative as they continue to expand their breadth of products and services for high performance networking, storage, virtualization and integration solutions. Among Campbell’s primary duties will be creating deployment scripts and services, as well as helping customers deploy OpenStack on bundled hardware solutions. Blue Chip Tek customers will now be offered the flexibility of public, private and hybrid cloud data usage, enabling increased control of their data and a new way to manage costs and data burstability.

Campbell comes to Blue Chip Tek from StackGeek, an OpenStack management consulting firm, where Campbell was Founder and CEO. In his 15-plus years in the IT industry, Campbell has founded four companies – including Zoto, Loggly and The Internet Shop – while serving in senior management at three others. Part hacker, part marketer and serial solution architect, Campbell is excited to bring his passion for designing, implementing and marketing great software to the Blue Chip Tek team.
